Abstract
The article presents main goals and initiatives of the Strategic Development Program of VSUES for 2012-2016. It highlights the Program correlation with the urgent issues and development perspectives of the Russian Far East. The article suggests a prospective image of the University upon realization of its Development Program as well as far reaching socio-economic effects within a regional scope.
